ARMOR, AIRCRAFT AND FIGURES IN 1/48 SCALE

Welcome to TOTS48, a website dedicated to only 1/48th Scale Military Modeling. In it you will eventually find all types of information and models covering Armor-AFV's, Aircraft, Dioramas and related Figures. As an extra bonus, an all-new TOTS48 Resin Product Line will make an appearance which will cover the afore-mentioned items. This new line will contain a variety of items that are finely detailed, easy to assemble and reasonably priced. It will feature complete kits, conversions, accessories and complete figure sets. I want to stick with only WW2 subjects but may delve into the "Jet Age" with Aircraft-related items now and then.
There is an ever-growing following of 48th Scalers worldwide and this scale is always growing in popularity. Modeling in this scale gives you the best of both worlds. Due to the smaller size they are easier to store and displays take up less space. Also, you can literally "go to town" with detailing and painting and they yield results that are comparable to their 35th scale cousins. If you haven't yet tried this scale, please do! Another great point is that the Armor kits can be combined with Aircraft to make some great Dioramas.
With all things there is always room for improvement and alot of careful planning has gone into this new venture. Many emails have been exchanged with Modelers and some larger names in the Military Modeling arena as to the rebuild of this website and the comments and advice have been duly noted. As with all hobbies, this will stay a Hobby and all the fun that comes with it. Making a quick buck is not an issue here, nor will it ever be. The new resin product line will remain small to insure faster turnaround of orders and greatly improved service! There is a "secret" listing of the new line for 2012 and I cannot give out any information for them at all. The listing is not complete as more items are in the planning stages and not yet definate. The items on the Resin Products page are either finished and ready to mold or are very near the molding phase. Of course, not only will I produce only Armor and related Figures and Diorama accessories but Aircraft Detail Sets and Accessories as well. Yes, sometimes I do get a case of burnout doing armor sometimes and aircraft (or an occaisional SCIFI project!) are the perfect way to sidetrack myself for a short while. You might want to try this yourself sometime. TOTS, the one true scale is not only true for Armor, but aircraft as well.The Diorama possibilities when combining the two are also endless and they won't take up too much shelf space!

The Ford CS-11/41 Woody and the Desert rats Tank crew releases will be delayed 2 weeks. I wasn't expecting a virtual avalanche of orders for the Panthers and kind of got caught with my pants down! As soon as I get alittle caught up with current orders, I'll mold the new items and release them. Thank you for those that have pre-ordered them and it won't be too much longer. Sorry Guys!
After a few problems with the length of the front glacis slope, especially on the A, the Panthers are now shipping. As of today, 22 February, I have a whopping 36 A's and D's to cast. 11 of these are still pending from last December! I am now chugging away with casting them all. Please be patient as I dig my way out from under these orders.
Keep in touch with fellow 48th Scalers;
The 48th Scale community is relatively small but there are some dedicated Forums in which you can keep in contact with those who have similar interests. Following are the main 48th Scale Modelers Forums that I've gathered off the net-

Yes, not wanting to kick a dead horse again with Iron Division, I have decided to expand on an idea from long ago. At first, this was supposed to be a pure 48th scale line but with sales of items in that scale being very slow, it will now include 35th and 72nd. A new website has been built for this new line and covers only sales of resin products, not modeling. As of Saturday, January 21rst 2012, all ordering and sales of any of my resin products will be done through that website. Might prove interesting as I know a few of you that Model in both of those scales. On that site is also a "Previews" page to keep you informed of up-coming releases. Click the tab to connect-
Wolf Battalion, the new resin line!
In response to a few questions (a.k.a. requests) received lately, the answer is YES! I guess it is inevitable that since both main types of the Panther are now available that a Bergepanther should follow so it's going to be done two ways using a basic conversion. The first will be the "Bargain Basement" version for the more economically minded which will include a full exterior conversion to include the large rear anchor/spade assembly and front mounted 20mm cannon. The winch area will be covered with boards, much as that area was covered-over in reality and the Driver's/Radio Operators area covered by a canvas. I will offer the fully detailed interior areas which cover the forward driver's/RO's section and fully detailed winch area as a separate set. Due to it's complexity, the exterior set alone will be around $40 to $45.

And, while on the subject of Panthers, I will also hit the early Jagdpanther Version with the Panther A-type Engine deck and backdate the rear hull area with older-style stowage boxes.
